We removed a decayed wooden flagpole and fittings from the church tower roof for the Estates Department when undertaking the initial site risk assessment.

Due to the restricted working area, access equipment was used to remove and install the flagpoles.

This involved peeling back the lead roof to enable us to get to the base fittings of the existing flagpole. We then fabricated a new metal-based housing to fit onto the existing roof supports of the church. We supplied and installed a new 6m heavy duty flagpole complete with bespoke fabricated mushroom finial, incorporating double bronze pulleys. The Flagpole was fitted with a lightning conductor protection which was connected back to the existing system.
