The Qatar Goodwood Festival
The world famous 5-day festival, affectionately known as “Glorious Goodwood” was rebranded to “The Qatar Goodwood Festival” in 2015. We were approached to supply in excess of 70 fibreglass flagpoles that could be used at Goodwood Racecourse, in the heart of the Sussex Downs National Park.
This involved the installation of new permanent concrete foundations to take bespoke heavy duty 10m fibreglass flagpoles with rotating arms. We worked on the design concept with our partners including DanoMast in Denmark, to ensure the flagpoles had a minimum life span of 10 years, and would withstand the challenging weather conditions of the exposed South Downs.
Every event involves delivering the flagpoles to site from our storage facility in Essex and our team of engineers installing them on site at Goodwood. The flagpoles are then dressed with branded Flags for the week-long event. On completion of the Festival all flagpoles and flags are removed and returned to our storage facility where we check the condition of the poles and launder the flags for the following year. In July 2022 we completed our 8th successful event.
